Announcement: CoRe at AAA annual meeting in Vancouver

Olga Povoroznyuk will chair a panel "Indigenous Political Imaginaries" and present a paper based on CoRe research at the annual meeting of American Anthropological Association in Vancouver, 20-24 November 2019

The panel will take place on Saturday, 23rd of November. The panel will include following presentations:

  • "The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act and
    its Effectiveness in the United States" by Augustine Haile (University of South Florida)
  • "On the Serendipity of Indigenous Tax Consciousness: The Case of the
    "Native Village of Venetie Tribal Government" by Maximilien Zahnd (University of Cambridge/University of California, Berkeley)
  • "Closing Easter Island, Moai, and Rapa Nui Geontologies of Self" by Forrest Young (Hawaii Pacific University)
  • "Overcoming Remoteness? Modernity and Articulations of
    Indigeneity along an East Siberian Railroad" by Olga Povoroznyuk (Vienna University)
