The presentation is focused on the role of infrastructure in (re)construction of identity and materialization of collective memory and affects in the context of Soviet modernization and post-socialist politics of emotions. The study shows how boom and decline, construction and reconstruction, expectation and disappointment constitute temporality of BAM infrastructure and symbolize incompleteness of the Soviet construction.
